The Bellum Punicum, also known as the "The Punic War," was an epic poem attributed to Lampadio. This work is significant in Latin literature, as it recounts the events of the Punic Wars between Rome and Carthage. The poem consists of seven books, which engage with themes such as heroism, conflict, and the complexity of war.

The choice of Lampadio as the author is key to understanding the literary context, as he was an influential figure in early Latin epic poetry. The division into seven books allows for a comprehensive treatment of the material, enabling a detailed exploration of the events, characters, and political ramifications of the wars. This structure also reflects the traditional epic form, which often employed multiple books to develop a narrative fully.

In summary, the correct answer identifies Lampadio as the author and recognizes the seven books as the format used to explore the significant historical and cultural impact of the Punic Wars.
